1. Referral codes — the real ongoing program
The only Star Citizen code program that is universally available, perpetually active, and gives a real signup bonus. Every registered RSI player has a personal code in the STAR-XXXX-XXXX format.
How it works
New player enters a valid code at account creation OR within 24 hours after (the 24-hour grace period was added in July 2025). RSI credits the new account with 50,000 UEC of in-game starting currency. The referrer earns a Recruitment Point on their reward ladder if the new player later spends $40 USD or more on a Game Package.
The code linkage is permanent and irrevocable — once an account is associated with a code, it cannot be changed.
The bonus was 5,000 UEC before July 2, 2025. RSI multiplied it by 10 as part of the referral program overhaul. Any site still showing 5,000 UEC is out of date.
2. Subscriber Discount Coupons — real but paywalled
Roberts Space Industries' subscription program issues percentage-off coupons to active subscribers based on accumulated subscription time. These are real and they work — but they are not codes you can find online.

Key limitations
Subscriber coupons cannot stack with active sales — using one overrides any sale pricing. They cannot be applied once you have entered payment information at checkout. They are account-specific and not shareable. They require ongoing subscription to earn — $10–20/month for the subscription itself.
3. Promo codes, discount codes, coupon codes — none exist in 2026
