Squadron 42: buying advice and a possible Star Citizen benefit

Maintained by Domux. Editorial approach and referral disclosure

Checked 1 October 2026. Squadron 42's official site currently advertises Q2 2027 and a mailing list for development and preorder news. This is the announced target, not a guaranteed delivery date. We did not find a standard purchase button or confirm a current standalone price.

Interested in Squadron 42 first, Star Citizen later?

Squadron 42 is a single player campaign. Star Citizen is the separate online universe. Creating an RSI account does not buy either game or reserve a lower price. If you are new to RSI, you can create your account with Domux's code✓ Verified referral code · Today: 14 October 2026. Check that STAR-JTV7-FXLR appears in the Referral Code field before submitting.

Add the code at signup or within 24 hours of creating your account. That is not a deadline to buy. A free account can join public Free Fly events during their announced windows. Special event rewards have separate rules. RSI rules

A possible benefit if you continue into Star Citizen

For example, you might follow Squadron 42 now and later decide to play Star Citizen. Attaching a valid code while your new account is eligible preserves that referral association. RSI's current standard bonus is 50,000 UEC for a referred new account. That is a Star Citizen currency benefit, not a Squadron 42 discount, campaign reward or promise of exclusive gear. Later events have their own eligibility rules. No future promotion is guaranteed.

Where to buy, and how to avoid paying for the wrong thing

  1. Start at the official Squadron 42 site for purchase announcements. A mailing-list signup is not a game preorder.
  2. If you already own an old package, inspect its contents in My Hangar for Squadron 42 access before buying again.
  3. When official sales open, compare the standalone price with any genuine bundle and your total after tax. RSI's Orders FAQ describes an optional discounted checkout add-on, but this does not establish that it is available today. If offered, it must be selected before completing that order.
  4. For Star Citizen access today, compare the lowest priced Game Packages in RSI's official store. A standalone ship or standard Star Citizen starter does not automatically include Squadron 42. Waiting for a public Free Fly can help you decide before paying.

No cheapest Squadron 42 offer can be identified without an available official price. A referral code does not reduce checkout cost. Do not buy an expensive ship package solely to chase the currency bonus.

Disclosure: Domux can benefit from qualifying referrals. Every valid player's code offers the same standard bonus.
